About Us

Prior to setting up the practice in March 2020, I have had 14 years of experience as the senior associate in the largest practice in Scotland nestled within the beautiful city of Perth. During my time there, I worked full time developing my skills and expertise with a significant amount of post graduate training.

I was appointed an NHS Vocational dental trainer in 2010 and trained young dentists for four consecutive years. During this time, I spent additional time at the local hospitals oral surgery department carrying out oral surgery procedures. I also developed significant mentoring skills and was invited to be one of 12 National Education for Scotland  appointed Dentists in Difficulty Coach Mentors. This role gave me the opportunity to help dentists that were having difficulties within there personal or professional life and support and signpost them to help them resolve their issues. In 2015 my surgical dentistry developed significantly further  allowing me to pursue my Foundation in Implant Dentistry with Straumann, one of the most highly respected implant systems available in the world.

I then followed the Faculty of General Dental Practitioner's guidance in a fully structured 5 years of personal mentored postgraduate implant training by one of the finest and most highest respected implant surgeons in the UK nestled in the Perthshire hills. This lead to my completion of the prestigious Diploma in implant dentistry from the Royal College of Surgeons in Edinburgh in 2018. This is regarded as the 'gold standard' for training for implant surgeons in General Dental Practice. 

I am an active International Team of Implantology member, Association of Dental Implantologists member and an Honorary  Member of the Royal College of Surgeons in Edinburgh. 

Outside of work I enjoy anything outside from mountain biking, hillwalking, climbing and anything that usually involves getting soaking wet! 

My interest in dentistry started at a young age, in P4 I did a project on dentistry and got an A, from then on the idea of a career in dentistry was implanted into my head.

In my 35 year career I have worked in a mix of private referral implant clinics, NHS practices, public dental service with special needs, urban access with drugs, homeless and blood borne virus groups out of Spittal Street with the harm reduction unit and ward 41 in infectious diseases unit at the Western in Edinburgh. 

I met John at the emergency dental hub and we hit it off and he subsequently offered me a job at Cherry Court as Senior Nurse and Clinical Manager. I love working here and I am currently studying for my Diploma in Implant Dental Nursing.

My hobbies out of work include going to the local gym, walking and going out for lunch with friends. 

I have always wanted to work in dentistry right from when I was little. After leaving school in 2015 I went on to study Dental Nursing at New College Lanarkshire where I gained my NEBDN National Diploma in Dental Nursing. I then went on to study my HND in Dental Nursing to gain additional skills to use in surgery.

After this I worked in general practice and have gained experience in general dentistry as well as assisting with oral surgery and dental implants. Most recently, I have just graduated in 2021 with a BSc Degree in Dental Nursing from the University of West of Scotland becoming one of about 30 graduates in the whole country with this qualification. In dentistry I love assisting with oral surgery and implants and will go on to do the Diploma in Implant Dental Nursing. Outside of work I enjoy doing archery, wild swimming, going to concerts, painting and travelling.

I was born in Peebles and brought up in Skirling, attending Skirling Primary School and then Peebles High School. I have experience working in a bank, post office and book keeping/administration.

My hobbies include going to the theatre and cinema, dining out and looking after my grandchildren.
